Our Story

Established in 2019, Newch’s Eatery is not just a Thai restaurant; it's a labor of love, family-owned and operated in the heart of Wausau, WI. Our culinary journey began with Newchee's humble sandwich shop in 2016, which quickly evolved into a thriving food truck serving the Wausau community. As our reputation grew, we saw the need to expand to a commercial kitchen. When the opportunity arose to own a building with a commercial kitchen, bar, and ample dining space, Newchee knew that a Thai restaurant was his true calling. Now, we are passionate about serving authentic Asian fusion cuisine and providing a comfortable, welcoming space for guests of all ages and families to enjoy.

At Newch’s, we offer a multifaceted dining experience. Our venue boasts an event room for special gatherings and celebrations, ensuring that we can cater to your unique needs. Join us during our daily happy hours (except weekends) and unwind with your favorite drink from our well-stocked bar. One of the closest places for me to get bahn mi sandwiches and pad thai. I also got the house favorite wings as well, food was absolutely amazing! I will be back. They were friendly, great food, everything was done and ready when I got there. Inside is just like any older wisconsin bar and grill but fantastic food.

First time customer! We had a great time with our family eating dinner here! Their food is amazing and service is good. Our kids had already eaten here. I would recommend starting out with the chicken avocado egg rolls and the crab ragoon for a starter! Then I would try the orange chicken! Their food is very fresh! A little hard to get to but worth the trip!
